Fluoride: Poison in Our Water

A drug, as defined by the FDA is an article

(other than food) intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of man or other animals.

Given this definition, fluoride is a drug; and we are being drugged by our cities and towns, who put fluoride in our water supply. Who gave them the right to say that every single person needs this drug? Who gave our town officials a medical license?

Fluoride in Water is Dangerous

The fluoride used to treat our water isn’t good quality, pure fluoride; instead, it’s chemical byproducts and includes other undesirables such as arsenic, lead, and chromium, which are all known carcinogens.

Even worse, the FDA hasn’t approved the use of fluoride in water. Fluoride is an unapproved drug because nobody knows how much of it is safe. If it isn’t known how much is safe, why is it being added to our children’s water, toothpaste, mouthwash then again every six months at the dentist?

Fluoride was first declared as necessary for preventing tooth decay 50 years ago. But do scientific studies from that time really meet scientific standards? After all, 50 years ago, scientific studies proved that cigarettes don’t cause lung cancer, something we all know to be false. Also, as a result of everyone wanting to protect their teeth from decay, fluoride is added to everything! No new, recent studies have been conducted by the FDA to test the effectiveness of fluoride or any possible side effects. Yet it’s put in our water supply.

Other countries (who seem to be smarter than the US as far as chemicals and food additives) have done research that we’ve neglected to do. Studies in China, for example, have shown that children exposed to Fluoride in their drinking water had a lower IQ than those who weren’t.

The addition of fluoride in our drinking water simply isn’t necessary. Our children are already overexposed to an abundance of fluoride in the foods they eat, the fluids they drink, and the products they use to clean their teeth.

When is the government going to realize that they need to step up and PROTECT its citizens, not ignore all the unhealthy food additives and chemicals that they’re exposing us and our children to?

You forgot to mention that the Nazi’s used the same “fluoride” in the prison camps to keep the prisoners placid, non reactive and dumb (because it lowers IQ). Disgusting that our government is now doing it to us!

You’re ‘sources’ are all anti-fluoride sites… have any REAL sources? Didn’t think so

Flouride is the simplest anion of flourine, a halogen on the periodic table. It carries a strong negative charge and thus has the ability to readily donate electrons and take protons. Because of this reactivity capability, it affects microbiota’s pH by creating a slightly more basic environment when reacting with a proton and caused cell death of bacterial cells, which contributes to a healthy mouth.

Spreading misinformation helps no one. Only by working together to ensure that our food supply is sustainable and healthful will we survive as a species.

Stop spreading misinformation u have no real sources and no real claims

Use primary sources and peer-reviewed articles instead of anti-fluoride websites. This is simply misinformation coming from a place of ignorance and fear.

YoBusiness, It seems you are missing the point. There is no misinformation here. The author is expressing legitimate concerns regarding real health issues. She, in no way, insinuates or implies that fluoride is not beneficial for teeth or healthy dental hygiene. The issue is, rather, what are long-term effects to overall health? Olson points out that there is an abundance of this chemical in the diet and dentistry industry in the USA. As a Food Science Student, I am surprised that you don’t seem to see the possible (and according to recent research, probable) substantial damage this particular chemical has on our vital organs, the brain in particular! There are numerous healthy alternative methods of fighting bacteria in the mouth. There are plant / herbs, and naturally occurring vitamins and minerals that are extremely healthy for consumption that are also powerful oral health aids.

But…it would not benefit the FDA (who is practically run by Monsanto & massive drug company associates) to use its resources to research those healthier alternatives. Instead, they indoctrinate & subsidize education for future “Food Science Experts” to reinforce the notion that the government knows best.

Thanks Sheila, also, for pointing out what Germany has known for nearly a century that most Americans still don’t realize.

Where is Sarah Olson, anyway? I can’t help but notice the dates of this site. It’s now 2018, and our environment (both physical and political) are more precarious than ever! Please, as a fellow concerned mom of many, contact me. This is wisdom (& I’m not talking teeth).
