MSG – It’s Still Out There!

Due to the MSG dangers being revealed back in the 90’s, many of you may be checking the labels of foods you buy to make sure it doesn’t contain any MSG. However, what you may not know is that the food industry didn’t stop using MSG, they simply hid it!

What is MSG?

MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) is an excitotoxin that is used as a flavor enhancer in many processed foods. It’s called a flavor enhancer, but ironically, what it actually does is stimulate more brain cells…and then it kills them.

Here’s another interesting tidbit – to perform laboratory research for diets and diabetes, scientists need fat rats. To get the rats fat, they inject the rats at birth with MSG. The MSG makes the rats eat more, and therefore gain weight…

Now, take that information, add it to the fact that everything we eat contains MSG, and you have a recipe for obese children. And this is only one dangerous additive! Don’t forget about rBGH, pesticides, partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup and other nasty ingredients!

To the food industry: STOP KILLING OUR KIDS!!! This is getting ridiculous! Seriously, this is starting to sound more like a conspiracy to get everyone in the food & medical industries rich…because when our children end up with the diseases caused by these food additives, we are the ones that pay for all that medical care.
Ingesting MSG can lead to brain damage, seizures, allergies, headaches, strokes and brain tumors. Yet we feed it to our precious children, our future, every day. And now, manufacturers are disguising MSG in other things.

How is MSG hidden?

Just so that we don’t realize that MSG is still being added to our foods, the food industry changed its name. Now there are many different ingredients we need to check for, as they all contain MSG:

  • Monosodium Glutamate
  • Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein
  • Hydrolyzed Protein
  • Hydrolyzed Plant Protein
  • Plant Protein Extract
  • Sodium Caseinate
  • Calcium Caseinate
  • Yeast Extract
  • Textured Protein
  • Autolyzed Yeast
  • Hydrolyzed Oat Flour
  • Corn Oil

And here are some that often contain MSG:

  • Malt Extract or Flavoring
  • Bouillon
  • Broth
  • Stock
  • Flavoring
  • Natural Beef/Chicken Flavorings
  • Seasoning
  • Spices

MSG is a very dangerous food additive that we need to make sure we avoid! Especially for our children!

I have to question your one alternate name for MSG. I was recently researching some thigs in regards to my suspect food sensitivities and found this: And I quote it from the livestrong.com website….
“Sodium caseinate is the biochemical name for casein, which is a type of protein found in the milk from all mammals. Casein, which is Latin for “cheese,” is a major component of commercial cheese and its principle source of protein. Casein is also used as a food additive and for industrial purposes.”

I think it’s time for a re-evaluation of your sources and new science. You might have to possibly re-write this entire post. You’re wrong.
