Blue 1 Additive Harming Your Kids!!

All in all, I think that the food industries are using way too many artificial chemicals in our foods. They are so focused on making a huge profit margin that they don’t care that what they’re producing is killing us.  Blue 1, one of the artificial colors that is so dangerous to our children, isn’t confined to foods, making it even more difficult to avoid.

So many of the food additives, including the artificial colorings, in the processed snacks and meals we are feeding to our children contribute to (or even cause!) their hyperactivity…yet, our solution is to punish them for behaving badly, and put them on drugs that hurt their systems. What a GREAT solution! (Of course, I’m being sarcastic)

Here’s an even better solution: stop feeding them the harmful and dangerous chemicals that are in the food they’re eating! Let’s give our children REAL food to eat, not food that’s processed with cancer-causing chemicals.

Artificial coloring in our foods could be considered worse than other dangerous food additives, simply because they are completely unnecessary. They are only added to processed foods to make them look more appetizing to consumers.

Dangers of Blue 1

Blue 1 not only causes our children to be overactive and hyper (which then prompts the pediatrician to put them on drugs for ADHD), there are many other dangers associated specifically with Blue 1, from stunted growth to behavioral and learning problems.

Specific health problems caused by Blue 1 include:

  • Severe allergic reactions (in those who are sensitive to it)
  • Asthma attacks
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Nervousness
  • Lack of concentration
  • Cancer

If you remember from my last entry about artificial food dyes, they are made from petroleum products! Who wants to eat petroleum?? Yuck.

Unfortunately, Blue 1 is not limited exclusively to the foods we eat. Look at the ingredients listed in your children’s toothpaste; the Oral B Stages toothpaste for children contains Blue 1. Many people think that as long as you don’t swallow it, you won’t be harmed by it. However, our mouth has an extremely high absorption rate. In other words, the harmful chemicals are absorbed into our system simply by being in our mouths.

This is why so many people have switched to “all-natural” products. It was thought to be a “craze”, this sudden inclination to switch to all natural products and organic foods…but there is a reason that those who did are healthier than the rest of us!

    I’m glad I stumbled upon your site from googling mono and diglycerides. Keep that truth coming! There are many frustrations life can throw at you, avoiding the ingestion of literal poisons shouldn’t be one of them.
